Job Search In December 2009: The East Crashes, Schleswig-Holstein As Well
Bremen is expanding his lead again the Daforto GbR Jobforto.de 16.442 month evaluated for their job December 2009 published job advertisements, the German-speaking to twenty of the most famous online job markets have been announced. The aim of the study was to determine a coefficient that is comparable to the respective regional labour market situation for the sixteen German Federal States. This, the relative fraction of the total of offered jobs in the ratio was used to the relative fraction of the total population. In the month of December, there were four big loser in the list after vacancies per inhabitant of the Federal States. Schleswig-Holstein suffered the biggest relative fall. This meant a rapid fall from the sixth to the third place in the ranking for Schleswig-Holstein. In the three other losers of the month It involved East German Federal States. The free State of Thuringia, which in the month of November on the fourth ranked and thus had landed as the first East German State in the top quarter of the list, fell in December from the top half of the list. Here, almost 45 percent were offered fewer digits per inhabitant than in November. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony, the relative decline was not quite as strong, as the position in both countries was however significantly worse than in Thuringia, they now formed the bottom of the list. At the top of the list sorted by the coefficient of Jobforto has done is, however, nothing: the City-States of Bremen and Hamburg continue to lead there from the Saarland. Since Bremen could further put in contrast to the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the already significant advantage of the eleventh-largest German city on the rest of the table has grown again.

The change of coefficient compared to the previous month is indicated after the name of the respective federal province. Example of determination of coefficients: the free State of Saxony 2.36 percent accounted for the December 2009 precisely offered places of the sample. As the population of the State corresponds to 5.11 percent in the total population of the Federal Republic of Germany (stand: March 31, 2009), this results in a coefficient of Jobforto by 2.36%: 5.11% = 0,462.
