August 17th 1960, John and Paul with George Harrisonom (guitar), Stuart Sutcliffe (bass) and Pete Best (drums) arrived in Hamburg, a sister city of native of Liverpool to earn money and pay the penalty for their instruments. A few years later, reaching success, John Lennon said: "We were born in Hamburg." It was here that John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison met with drummer Ringo Starr and the first time in my short life, the group worked in a real studio. Terms of the contract, even for the fate of the Liverpool neizbalovannyh guys were awful: 30 German marks each (for appearance on the stage) and all living together in a hotel room of two rooms with no windows, heating and hot water. His first tour hotel Beatles always remember those days and compared with the difficulties and psychological stress in While touring America in February 1964, the most difficult of their tour. Had to work with an unknown German producer and had to speak before an audience which for the most part did not understand English. All were very nervous before the first concert in Hamburg, the first concert under the name The Beatles. Speak in public was already familiar, but it was the Liverpool audience, their peers, young people aged 17-25. The youngest, George, was 17 years old and the 'old', Pete – 21. Thus, that we had guys 'laban' having a decent dose of German beer 'for bravery'. After returning home Quartet, Brian Epshteyn, owner of Liverpool recording studio became their manager and has done much to formation of the image of the Beatles as he is known all over the world.
